Hello!
I sincerely appreciate your interest in Tailored Pathways Consulting, LLC. Please know that I created this entity in order to aid in the building and upliftment of professionals in the education sector to increase the trajectory of student success due to the implementation of exemplar instruction. I understand that it is imperative to place the best interest of the students first, and acknowledge that great teachers share this same mentality. My goal is to provide best practice tools and strategies based on current data to aid educators, coaches, specialists and administrators in their professional journeys.
Throughout my career, I have created and facilitated various presentations and professional development sessions to both educators and parents. Topics consisted of reading, math, behavior, exceptional children, new teacher orientations, new teacher curriculum trainings, as well as diversity and communication. The majority of these sessions have been presented to Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and N.C. Pre-K staff.
I hold a NC Administrators license and have over 17 years of experience in education as a teacher’s assistant, teacher (Pre-K, EC Pre-K, K, and 4), Itinerant Resource Teacher, MTSS Coordinator and Dean of Students. I have served as a teacher mentor for NCDPI and a peer mentor for various CMS schools as well. I also have experience in aiding teachers with classroom management skills and strategies, as well as, providing strategies and tools for teachers with students with disabilities.
Before my education career began, I worked for community based organizations. As a HUD Certified Housing Counselor, my role was to assist individuals with achieving self sufficiency. My years in this role, as well as my personal knowledge of homeownership influenced me to provide sessions to those who are interested in purchasing a home. I have lending experts and realtors who will be partnering with me for these sessions.
My experiences and research provide the foundation for my ability to edify those who seek to enhace their pedagogy. I am so excited about what the future holds and am looking forward to working with you to fulfill your tailored needs!
